Demographics and other client information, along with service data for all of Alpha Project’s programs are tracked through Service Point, a custom-designed web-based data processing program. Service Point enables staff at many service sites to enter information directly, access it immediately, and ensure the accuracy of reporting. With sponsorship from the Regional Task Force on the Homeless, Service Point is currently used by more than two-dozen agencies countywide. By using Service Point, resource, residential, assessment, health services, employment and housing departments interface and exchange data relevant to client progress. The program provides for longitudinal tracking of service utilization by each client and generates reports within a vast set of parameters.
Alpha Project measures client progress towards self-sufficiency against base line assessments done at the time of program entry and generates cumulative reports reflective of aggregate client success and program outcomes on a monthly basis. Each program reports not less than annually to all relevant funding sources and oversight agencies including the County Department of Housing and Community Development, the San Diego Housing Commission, the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development, the State Department of Mental Health, and the County Health and Human Services Agency, among others.
